On the 1st March 2025, a select group of 86 physiotherapy students embarked on a transformative study tour to AIIMS Rishikesh. The delegation comprised 46 students from the 4th year of the BPT program and 40 students from the MPT program. This enlightening journey was enriched by the guidance of our esteemed faculty members: Prof. (Dr.) Niraj Kumar, Dr. Manjul Nautiyal (P.T), Dr. Surbhi Thapliyal (P.T),  Dr. Akansha Suman (P.T) & Dr. Deepa Juyal (PT) from the Department of Physiotherapy.

The group arrived at AIIMS Rishikesh at precisely 11 am, ready to delve into a day dedicated to the exploration of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) department. Students were introduced to cutting-edge physiotherapeutic modalities, including the gait trainer with harness and the gait analysis unit equipped with a video recorder. This hands-on experience provided invaluable insights into advanced rehabilitation techniques and methodologies.

Beyond the technical exposure, the tour served as a catalyst for the students' academic aspirations and professional endeavors. Witnessing the innovative research and practice within the rehabilitation settings inspired many to contemplate future opportunities for specialized studies and research collaborations beyond our department's confines.

In recognition of the collaborative spirit and the enriching exchange of knowledge, a memento was graciously presented to the head of the PMR unit at AIIMS Rishikesh. With hearts full of gratitude and minds buzzing with newfound knowledge, the group concluded their educational odyssey and returned to the college campus, carrying with them memories and insights that will shape their future careers in physiotherapy.
